Emerson Process Management has announced that John Morley, ex-President of the IMC, will join the Emerson System Sales Consultancy Team working with the major London automation contractors

John joins the Emerson team with over 30 years experience in the field of instrumentation and control gained with major operating companies such as Anglo American, Union Carbide, British Gas, Shell, BP and Esso.
Throughout his career John has held senior positions with key engineering contractors and has specialised in refinery re-instrumentation projects including the latest techniques associated with advanced process control, refinery optimisation and management information systems.
John is a Chartered Engineer and a fellow of both the Institute of Electrical Engineers and the Institute of Measurement and Control.
He has been active in the Institute of Measurement and Control for many years and became President in 2003.
He has also been Chairman of the Energy Industries Council Instrumentation Committee.
