These industrial managed Ethernet switches support advanced features, including SNMP, VLAN, IP security, and Dual Homing, otherwise called RSTP over X-Ring.

It is common in industrial Ethernet applications that industrial switches co-exist with commercial ones in a network topology.

Generally, commercial switches use standard RSTP protocol, while industrial switches use proprietary ring protocol.

In a network topology that includes both industrial and commercial switches, network redundancy can be accomplished with Dual Homing feature of Ethernet Direct Husky Series Managed Switch.

The redundant ring protocol in Husky Managed Ethernet Switch is known as X-Ring.

Ethernet redundancy becomes more critical to ensure non-stop connection.
