As well as sourcing on an 'as needed' basis, E-Trade2China also offers a service whereby we open fully-staffed procurement offices for our clients.
We employ full-time staff on our clients' behalf, and these staff work exclusively for you as an extension of your operation in your home country.
This not only means you have your own dedicated team working for you here, but it also enables you to use our Trading Licences to buy products at cost from any factory you choose in China, instead of having to pay commission.
Most factories in China do not have the licences to accept foreign currency, and they have to use Chinese trading companies in order to supply you.
As a UK-owned and managed company with these licences, we are in a unique position: we can supply our clients whilst cutting out all commissions to importers, Hong Kong trading companies, China-based agents, brokers and middlemen, and Chinese trading companies themselves.
We charge a flat monthly fee for this service, regardless of how much you source - and not only does this cost less than opening your own Representative Office here, it also gives you the ability to buy at cost from all Chinese factories directly, which foreign companies or those with Representative Offices here are not able to do.
In fact, many foreign trading companies with offices here are not able to buy directly either, which is why many of them use us too.
As you are a foreign company, products which originate in China currently reach you through several purchasing channels, almost all of which involve commission being added to your cost of goods - even if you 'believe' you are dealing directly with a factory - in fact, it is unlikely that you are.
You are not able to source directly from any factories without Export Licences here, and instead may use more expensive factories with export licences, overseas-based importers and suppliers, trading companies pretending to be factories, and agents based in Hong Kong or China.
Our approach is as follows: due to our unique legal status, we are able to act as a Chinese Trading Company - not as a foreign-owned 'China Agent'.
We are further upstream, and this is the reason we are able to supply other agents and trading companies in China: they need to use a company like us to actually purchase the products from many factories here.
Instead of charging commission, though, we are able to operate under your guidance to set up your own exclusive Buying Office here in Shanghai, enabling you to buy at cost prices from anywhere in China - not just from expensive factories with Export Licences or via commission-charging middlemen.
