This may mean upgrading your machine to improve reliability and longevity - a popular modification on some makes of machine is to convert the scroll drive from a conventional gearbox to a hydraulic system, which has the advantage of avoiding very long lead times for spares, whilst also increasing the lifespan of the drive.
The performance and throughput of a decanter centrifuge can be greatly improved by refurbishment of the scroll, and while it is in the workshop: and for aggressive applications we would recommend, where possible, that wear resistant carbide tiles are fitted.
These can not only increase the time between scroll rebuilds by a factor of 3, but when it is required, only those tiles which are worn are replaced, reducing overall maintenance costs.
One relatively simple job is changing the duty of the machine from dewatering to thickening.
This usually involves only changes to the system control philosophy, enabling the user to maximise available assets without more capital outlay.
