Eurofins CEO opens new London laboratory

An Eurofins Environmental Services product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Dec 28, 2007

Eurofins Scientific CEO Dr Gilles Martin, officially opened their brand new purpose built laboratory in Acton, West London on 11th December 2007

Dr Martin founded the analytical and testing services group in 1987 and in opening their latest laboratory he said, "Eurofins has become a market leader in many countries around the world, employing over 7000 people.

We have ambitious growth plans for the future and the Acton facility will play a key role in helping us to achieve our objectives in the UK".

The new euro1million UKAS accredited microbiology laboratory was built in response to a significant rise in demand for analytical testing in the food and environment sectors, and following the recent acquisition of the Southern Water laboratories, it represents a further step in the Eurofins expansion within the UK.

Whilst microbiology will dominate testing work, the new facility will provide customers with access to the highly integrated Eurofins network, offering over 25,000 in-house accredited analytical methods.
