Extech Instruments, a major supplier of test and measurement equipment for the industrial marketplace, will showcase its new CT20 Continuity Tester Pro at the 2007 EDS Show in Las Vegas
The Extech branded and innovative family of digital multimeters and digital clamp meters, comprised of the 300, 400, 500, 700, and 800 series is exclusive to the industrial maintenance industry.
The 300 series of dual function digital multimeters features built-in AC voltage detection, is easy-to-operate, conveniently-sized and ideal for basic electrical troubleshooting.
The 400 series of digital multimeters is a broad line of six meters with models ranging from a basic, eight function manual ranging meter to a fully featured, 11 function, auto ranging, true RMS meter with a built-in IR thermometer.
All nine meters are CE/UL approved and rated at Cat II-1000 V and Cat III-600V.
The Extech 500 Series is ruggedly designed and waterproof to IP67 standards with a double-moulded housing, making them ideal for use in the outdoors, in marine applications, and in harsh industrial environments.
These three meters are CE/UL approved and are rated at Cat III-1000V and Cat IV-600V.
The EX700 and EX800 series of digital clamp meters consist of six models and all are UL/CE approved and rated to Cat III-600V.
All models feature a large 4000 count LCD display with bright backlighting which allows the user to see the reading in dim light.
The ergonomically designed double-moulded housing offers a better grip when performing one-handed operations.
All meters measure resistance, capacitance, frequency, and continuity and offer a fast peak hold that captures inrush currents and transients.
Each of the meters in the 800amp EX700 Series measures AC/DC voltage and AC current while the EX720 and EX730 are true RMS models and the EX730 also measures DC current.
The three 1000amp EX800 Series clamp meters each measure AC current while the EX820 and EX830 are true RMS models and the EX830 also measures DC current.
All three models feature a unique, built-in, non-contact infrared thermometer with laser pointer to monitor temperature and locate hot spots in electrical devices.
Each 1000A meter features min/max, a data hold feature that "freezes" the data in the display, and an auto ranging feature with a manual range override.
