Extech Instruments, the US developer of portable printers for enterprise-wide applications, has appointed more like-minded distributors to support its continued strong growth in Europe

Extech business in Europe, which now accounts for one third of their global portable printer business, is driven by a carefully developed like-minded distributor network Extech recently announced inroads into the Romanian and Greek markets and now has forty nine authorised distributors covering more than twenty European countries

Tony Revis, general manager of the Extech Portable Printer Division, said: 'Experience has proved that it is important for customers to go to distributors that have a legacy in mobile computing; these are the companies that know how to deliver truly cost-effective mobile solutions'.

Extech has recently signed distributor agreements in France, Greece, Cyprus, Romania and Holland in a bid to further penetrate the European Mobile Printer market.

It has set the goal of appointing more, as analysts expect the market to grow in-line with an expanding range of intelligent devices and appliances designed to assist an ever-increasing mobile workforce.

Already well represented in Italy, Spain, Portugal, UK, Germany and Scandinavia, Extech are continually seeking to forge partnerships with companies who specialise in mobile technology distribution in other parts of Europe.

Richard Clairin Graugnard, president and director general of Ultec which has an extensive distributor agreement with Extech, covering France and other French speaking territories, including Morocco, Tunisia, Switzerland and Belgium, said: 'The applications for the use of portable receipt printing in mobile computing go far beyond retail.

Mobile professionals span many job roles, including corporate executives, sales representatives, construction engineers, healthcare professionals, field service technicians, warehouse employees and vehicle drivers.

In each case Extech products have a valuable role to play'.
