IWEX Conference 'Sustainable Water Management'
Co-hosted with the Environment Industries Commission, IWEX presents the Sustainable Water Management Conference on Tuesday 1 May, at the NEC Birmingham.
Up to 200 businesses and organisations will be exhibiting at IWEX with Intellitect Water as just one of those launching a new product.
Their new real-time hand-held water monitor uses advanced sensor technology as opposed to chemical reagents to provide multi-parameter water quality monitoring.
This significantly advances incident management capabilities and makes the monitoring of water quality much more cost-effective.
Other product launches will include Catchpots developed by Norfolk based company HDV, who will be demonstrating their water and energy saving products for domestic and industrial use with water valves and cisterns.
The Catchpots are designed to solve the problem of dribble-fill, which often causes stagnation, hotspots and bacterial growth, and results in vast amounts of energy being wasted.
The second version of this product also being launched reduces water levels used during the average flushing cycle, which has the potential to save users vast amounts of water.
In addition, IWEX will see 3 days of free seminars and a conference on Day 1, which will be co-hosted with the Environment Industries Commission.
Focusing on sustainable water management, the conference has Sir John Harman, chairman of the Environment Agency; Pamela Taylor, chief executive of Water UK; George Day of Ofwat and Jacob Tomkins of Waterwise as headline speakers.
Catherine Iredale, exhibitions director of Faversham House Group, commented: "This year's event has a great line-up of exhibitors and a high level conference programme covering the most salient challenges facing the industry today.
I'm excited by the quality and shear scale of this year's event, which will provide the perfect showcase for some of the latest technology and services".
