A Food Processing Faraday Partnership product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Jul 16, 2007

The Food Processing KTN are working in conjunction with International Food Information Service (IFIS Publishing) to produce a quarterly Food Manufacturing Efficiency Journal

The journal is planned to bring the latest scientific developments relating to measuring and improving efficiency of food production to an international audience.

The journal contains mini-reviews of key topics and original research papers, as well as case studies illustrating how efficiency has been improved in real factory situations.

The journal is available in print or online by annual subscription (personal and organizational rates are offered) or articles can be purchased individually.

The second issue of Food Manufacturing Efficiency is to be released shortly.

The special theme for Issue 2 is 'Cleaning and Hygienic Processing'.

Featured articles include:.

* Development of an LCA methodology to assess the environmental impacts of process changes: two case studies in Sweden.

* An environmentally friendly method of cleaning complex geometry food manufacturing equipment and ducts with maximum product recovery, using pumpable ice slurries.

The full contents for Issue 2 are listed on the journal website.
