A food industry conference about innovative sensors for process control, to reduce waste and save time and money whilst simultaneously ensuring product quality, is being organised at the LFRA

Sensors play a significant role in food manufacturing particularly in controlling manufacturing efficiency and ensuring that the food we eat is safe and of the highest quality.

"Sensing Profit for the Food Industry" describes some of the latest systems available for process control and innovative sensing technologies that can enable food production companies to reduce waste and save time and money whilst simultaneously ensuring product quality.

Presentations from leading experts in sensor technology will include case studies and cost benefit analyses arising from experience in sensor implementation in food manufacturing.

Presenters will be Cheryl Walker, Britvic UK; Dr Sam Tothill, Cranfield University; Lisa Makein, Product Technical Specialist, Malvern Instruments; Dr Vitaly Buckin, Sonas Techologies , Eire; Les Slocombe, ABB; Tom Scott, Diagnostic Solutions; Ken Gale, Energy Monitoring Systems.

Those who can be expected to benefit include food industry production managers keen to improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce waste, food technologists interested in new developments in quality control for food safety and product quality, sensors manufacturers seeking opportunities and markets in the food sector, and sensor technology providers keen to promote novel solutions to food processing problems.
