A food industry conference about innovative sensors for process control, to reduce waste and save time and money whilst simultaneously ensuring product quality, is being organised at the LFRA
Also at the conference will be Cevn Vilbert of Silchester Controls, talking about the plant-wide control system at Ryvita; Alec Kyriakides, head of product safety at Sainsbury's, talking about the supply of safe and quality food and the expectations of the retailer; and Alan Spreckley, food segment manager at ABB Robotics, giving ten good reasons for investing in robotic automation.
This conference will convince you of what a profitable future engineering and automation holds for the food processing industry.
Key papers will include:.
* How engineering science can give new insight into improved process performance.
* Financing automation through self-funding loans.
* The expectations of a retailer for the supply of safe and quality foods.
* How the Centre for Robotics and Automation can physically demonstrate effective automation systems.
* Waste management - a perspective on the impact of economic and regulatory drivers over the next 15 years.
