Faraday requests food processor for experiment
Food companies experiencing difficulties recording core temperatures in-line, in real-time, without damaging the product, have been invited to participate in an experiment to help solve the problem.
David Walklate, innovation consultant of the Faraday, identified this recurring issue through the CHIEFS project.
A newly formed group - including the Faraday, an engineering company, a university and a research establishment - will attempt to solve this problem; in fact the engineering company is so confident of resolving the issue and of the subsequent rewards, it will fund the development itself.
It is looking for one food company to help conduct trial work and to provide product knowledge in exchange for being the 'first to market' with no accompanying risks.
The company will ideally be a producer of chilled simple foods.
Interested companies should contact David Walklate at FPFP.
