Festo at Total Processing and Packaging 2007

A Festo product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Mar 15, 2007

Festo faces up to the challenge of remaining competitive in the machine building market through technology, people and organisation, as to be demonstrated at Total Processing and Packaging 2007

At Total Processing and Packaging 2007, Festo will be launching new training initiatives and new product lines to help machine builders compete successfully in today's global marketplace.

For example, the company is unveiling a new series of electrical piston-rod cylinders which provide high accuracy programmable positioning capabilities and are mechanically 100% compatible with the Festo DNC pneumatic cylinders.

The new cylinders are likely to prove extremely popular with machine designers and builders seeking to implement mixed technology automation systems for the packaging and processing industries.

Festo will also be showing the latest additions to its range of electric drives - including two new intelligent DC servomotors featuring fieldbus interfaces for Profibus and CANopen - together with a new series of highly flexible CPX valves and I/O options.

Festo Marketing Manager, Steve Sands, says "We are working together with many of the manufacturers that are exhibiting at Total 2007, to reduce costs and increase competitiveness.

Our stand will demonstrate our unique blend of new lower cost products, electrical drive technologies and remote diagnostics for improved machine flexibility.

We will show how we are tackling the issues of introducing and effectively utilising new technologies, enabling customers to add value, think and work lean.

Through training and consultancy we can assist clients to effectively implement change and engage the whole team in building and selling the new solution".

Festo will be at Total Processing and Packaging 2007, at the NEC, from 15-18 May, Stand 5617 in Hall 5.
