The EEUC meeting provides a vendor-neutral environment offering end user case study presentations of European fieldbus projects within diverse industries including chemical, oil, gas and pharmaceutical.
A discussion forum, led by a panel of leading adopters of fieldbus technology, will give participants the opportunity to address technology issues, share implementation experiences and exchange practical tips.
The 2004 EEUC meeting will be led by Chris Baltus (DSM), European representative on the Fieldbus Foundation End User Advisory Council (EUAC), and supported by Ian Verhappen (Syncrude Canada), North American representative of the EUAC, and Roger Highton, Director of the EEUC.
A cocktail reception for the EEUC participants will be held on the stand from 16.00-18.00hrs during which there will be the opportunity to continue informal discussions with fieldbus users, meet the members and staff of the Fieldbus Foundation, and to have a personal tour of the Fieldbus Foundation stand and exhibits.
Participation in the EEUC meeting costs Euro80 per person and includes a CD of end user presentations and technical documentation (Fieldbus Foundation System Engineering Guide AG-181 and Technical Overview), discussion forum, coffee/tea breaks, lunch, reception and one day admission ticket to the Interkama 2004 exhibition.

On Thursday 22nd April, an Integrator Workshop will be held at the Hannover Messe from 10.00-16.00hrs.
The workshop has been specifically developed for engineering contractors, system integrators and end user project/instrumentation engineers to highlight how they can benefit from fieldbus technology.
The day includes detailed technical presentations on the design, configuration, installation and commissioning of both H1 and High Speed Ethernet (HSE) systems and an in-depth workshop on the execution of an actual Foundation fieldbus project.
Physical layer intrinsic safety, FISCO and other key issues will also be discussed.
Bareld Bruining of STC Brielle, the certified Fieldbus Foundation training centre in The Netherlands, will coordinate the day's technical program and brings with him a wealth of training experience.

Attendees wishing to participate in both the EEUC meeting and the Integrator Workshop can do so for a total cost of Euro120 - benefiting from a 25% discount.
In addition to the EEUC meeting and Integrator Workshop special events, the Fieldbus Foundation will host a series of end user presentations by industry experts and major end users throughout the week in the stand's self contained auditorium.
This, coupled with the live device 'Wall of Fame' exhibit and connected host-supplier kiosks, gives attendees a unique opportunity to test the ease of the Foundation fieldbus system configuration and to see the extensive scope of registered Foundation fieldbus devices available from the world's leading automation suppliers.
Themed tuition sessions at the member host-supplier kiosks will cover a number of topical aspects of fieldbus technology, including configuration, asset management and integration to offer visitors another opportunity for personal guidance.
Interkama attendees will also see the return of the foundation's popular 'Herbert Planer' character.
Herbert Planer represents a typical plant engineer who has seen his career prosper after convincing his company to install Foundation fieldbus.
Herbert and his team will be present at several times on the booth to meet with attendees and promote the benefits of fieldbus technology in both English and German language.
