Fieldbus Foundation announces the latest expansion of its list of global marketing committees with the formation of an Indonesian chapter, reflecting the increased participation by industry members

According to Fieldbus Foundation President and CEO Richard Timoney, establishment of the Fieldbus Foundation Marketing Committee-Indonesia reflects a growing trend among automation industry members to become involved in fieldbus committee work and take an active role in the direction of the technology.
"Around the world, suppliers and end users are demonstrating tremendous enthusiasm for the growth of FOUNDATION fieldbus," said Mr Timoney.
"We are fortunate to have many talented and dedicated participants in our global marketing committees.
The work of these individuals is a significant factor in the industry's acceptance of fieldbus-based control systems and the increased adoption rate for our technology".
The FFMC-Indonesia conducted its inaugural meeting at the Menara Peninsula Hotel, Jakarta, Indonesia.
Special guests included: Mr Hisashi Sasajima, Fieldbus Foundation vice president-Asia/Pacific operations; Mr Amir Manurung, general manager, PT Yokogawa Indonesia; Mr Andy Indradjaja, sales engineer, PT Duta Firza (sole agent of Masoneilan); Mr Gunawan Siregar, moderator, KBK Instrument-PT Rekayasa Engineering; Mr Sugiharto, assistant sales manager, PT Widyapandu Ekatama (sole agent of Flow Serve); Mr Sajiv Nath, manager automation, PT Grama Bazita (sole agent of Endress+Hauser); Mr Wiyanto, sales engineer, PT Bina Karya (sole agent of Pepperl+Fuchs); Mr Dean Chua, engineer, MTL Instrument Pte Ltd.; Mr Yanto Chandra, sales manager, PT Grama Bazita (sole agent of Endress+Hauser); Mr Samuel Sutanto, product manager, PT Grama Bazita (sole agent of Endress+Hauser); Mr Andy Solikin, ceo, PT Wifgasindo (sole agent of Smar); and Mr Harmansyah, assistent sales manager, PT Honeywell.
As part of the meeting proceedings, the FFMC-Indonesia elected officers to its pro-tem committee.
They include: Mr Nanang D.Suprapto, PT Control Systems (sole agent of Emerson Process Management), chairman; Mr Waskita Indrasutanta, PT Wifgasindo (sole agent of Smar), vice chairman; Ms Anita Tresia, PT Widyapandu Ekatama (sole agent of Flow Serve), secretary; Mr T Alexander Leo, PT Suplintama (sole agent of MTL), treasurer; and Mr Rajesh Nalhotra, PT Grama Bazita (sole agent of Endress+Hauser), director of marketing.
The FFMC-Indonesia Initial Committee will research requirements to establish the marketing committee with the Indonesian government and prepare its draft constitution.
It will also develop proposed marketing activities for 2004 and plan for Foundation fieldbus demonstration opportunities.
FFMC-Indonesia expects to participate in at least one automation exhibition during the coming year.
