Yokogawa Executive joins FF board

Teruyoshi Minaki, director and executive vice president of the Industrial Automation Business for Yokogawa Electric Corporation, has been named to the Foundation fieldbus board of directors.

The Fieldbus Foundation today announced that Teruyoshi Minaki, director and executive vice president of the Industrial Automation Business for Yokogawa Electric Corporation, has been named to its board of directors Mr Minaki replaces board member Akira Nagashima, who has served on the foundation's board for the past four years

Mr Minaki joins other automation industry leaders serving on the Fieldbus Foundation board.

In addition to Chairman John Berra of Emerson Process Management, current members include: Kenneth Deken, Rockwell Automation; David Eisner, Honeywell; Motofumi Matsumura, Fuji; Teruyoshi Minaki, Yokogawa; Jim Porter, DuPont; Claude Ricaud, Schneider Electric; Ron Szanyi, ExxonMobil; Mark Taft, ABB; Hirozumi Sone, Yamatake Corporation; and John Eva, Invensys.

As the Fieldbus Foundation's newest director, Mr Minaki looks forward to taking an active role in the future direction of Foundation fieldbus.

"I am pleased and honored to have an opportunity to serve on the foundation board," said Mr Minaki.

"Foundation fieldbus is recognized as a worldwide automation standard for both new plant construction and plant modernisations, and I am looking forward to working with my industry colleagues to help keep the technology beneficial to end users." Fieldbus Foundation President and CEO Richard Timoney welcomed Mr Minaki to the board of directors.

"Teruyoshi Minaki will be a valuable contributor to our organization.

He has extensive knowledge of field instrumentation and is an enthusiastic and hard-working executive." Mr Minaki has had a lengthy career with Yokogawa Electric Corporation.

In addition to serving on its board of directors, he is the company's executive vice president and director of the Industrial Automation Business Headquarters for Yokogawa Electric Corporation, in Japan.
