Brazil

The Fieldbus Foundation has announced it will present a fieldbus educational seminar on July 12 at the Renaissance Hotel in Sao Paulo, Brazil, the first FF seminar in this region

The first instructional event of its kind held in Brazil, the seminar will offer a wealth of information describing how Foundation technology is "Changing the Playing Field" in industrial automation Oriented towards end users and engineering firms, the one-day seminar will cover all aspects of Foundation automation infrastructure management

Each of the core technology areas will be discussed in detail for 45 minutes.

Local end user speakers will also present case studies about their fieldbus applications.

All seminar content will be presented in the local language, Portuguese.

Attendees will receive a CD with all the presentation materials, technical guides, and workshop handouts.

Bill Tatum called the educational seminar "a milestone event" for the Brazil end-user community.

Tatum continued, "Our 2007 seminar programme has been fine-tuned to help students understand the real advantages of Foundation fieldbus technology.

The seminar curriculum now focuses on three key subjects.

The first area is open, scalable integration.

The next module, focusing on process integrity, talks about distributing control to field devices, function blocks, and asynchronous communications.

We then go into business intelligence, including advanced diagnostics, asset management, and OpEx savings with fieldbus".

In addition to a technical programme, the Sao Paulo seminar will include tabletop displays of the latest Foundation fieldbus products and solutions.
