Fieldbus Foundation at Interkama Hall 7
The Fieldbus Foundation, conducting its 2008 General Assembly in Antwerp, Belgium, has unveiled plans to exhibit at the forthcoming Interkama 2008, part of the Hanover Fair, from April 21-25
As in previous years, the Fieldbus Foundation will occupy one of the largest stand areas at the show with a prime 300m island location A10 in Hall 7 - the hall dedicated to process automation technologies Co-ordinated by the Fieldbus Foundation German Marketing Committee, the stand layout will feature purpose built kiosks demonstrating Foundation technology solutions and applications through the static and operational displays of registered devices, host systems, tools and services available from at least 23 of the world's leading automation equipment suppliers

Drinks, including a range of specialist teas, will be available throughout each day to all visitors to the stand and a daily "Happy Hour" from 1700-1800 will take place, during which Fieldbus Foundation promotional giveaways will be distributed.
A briefing to the trade press will take place on the Fieldbus Foundation stand on Tuesday 22nd April from 1500-1600hr, followed by a reception.
Marc Van Pelt, Fieldbus Foundation Vice-President - EMEA Operations, will provide an update of several aspects of Foundation technology and their impact in the EMEA region including an update of the Fieldbus Foundation Safety Instrumented Functions (SIF) development project, progress made by the EDDL cooperation team and the newly established wireless cooperation team.
He will also highlight some of the Fieldbus Foundation EMEA marketing activities and German End User initiatives.
To date, participating members at Interkama 2008 include: ABB, BIS Prozesstechnik, Burkert, Emerson Process Management, Endress+Hauser, Fieldbus International, Hans Turck, Hach Lange, Honeywell, Invensys, Leoni Kerpen, Krohne, Masoneilan Dresser, MTL Instruments, Northwire, Pepperl+Fuchs, Phoenix Contact, R Stahl, Rockwell Automation, Samson, Siemens, Softing and Yokogawa.
