With more and more complex fieldbus devices installed in the field, there is a growing requirement for approval that such devices really are compliant with the standards For FOUNDATION fieldbus such certification is mandatory

For PROFIbus it is market advantage to have such certification and some users demand certified instruments.

Approved certification bodies perform certification.

There are a few laboratories that are approved for certification for PROFIbus compliance.

They specialise on different aspects of PROFIbus and their quality of service varies a lot.

How fast they expedite the certification varies widely.

Fint take on the work to certify on behalf of customers.

Certification means listing of the products on the PROFIbus website.

We will use the certification body we think most suited for the task and handle all technical administrative work related to the certification.

For FF the situation is similar.

However the requirements on certification is more rigid for FF.

You simply need to have a certified device and to be listed on the FF website.

It is only the Foundation HQ in Austin that can certify and approve a device.
