i-Label 'Vision Appliance' announced

i-Label is an automated Vision Appliance that rapidly checks the placement and quality of labels on bottles, boxes, cans and other rigid, packaged goods

i-Label is an automated Vision Appliance that rapidly checks the placement and quality of labels on bottles, boxes, cans and other rigid, packaged goods i-Label performs the following inspections

Verifies that the correct label is present.

Verifies that the label is correctly positioned.

Checks that the label placement angle is within specified limits.

Detects flags, tears, and missing portions of labels.

Checks for significant defects including smears, spatter and contamination weeks.

i-Label, in common with all of the Vision Appliances from IPD, is designed for total ease of use, providing the user with excellent, repeatable results, for a whole range of printing and packaging label inspections.

The i-Label intuitive interface makes it easy for users to get label inspections up and running quickly.

A sequence of interface screens guides users through the steps needed to set up an inspection task, including defining parameters for acceptable label positions and angles.

Using proprietary neural network technology, i-Label then automatically learns the variation in good labels.

The learned label and inspection parameters can be saved as a "solution" and quickly restored or downloaded when the label is changed.

Solutions can be saved on the vision appliance or on a network so that a particular label inspection can be trained for one manufacturing line and used on many others.

Users interface with i-Label through a standard web browser, enabling them to configure, remotely monitor and debug their applications.

The vision appliance is available with an external camera interface that supports a variety of industry-proven cameras makes and a dedicated display output allows the user to run necessary checks prior to running the finished application. Request a free brochure from Firstsight Vision ...
