The demand for appropriate storage facilities is expected to show commensurate growth, a company spokesman forecast.
Fisher Tank's wide experience in tank construction, coupled with its manpower and fabrication resources, "puts us in an enviable position to capitalise on the coming ethanol boom," he said.
Either of the two Fisher plants - one in Chester, PA and one in Lexington, SC - are fully equipped single sources for all aspects of tank construction, including plate forming, welding and in-field erection.
The company can build ASTs of carbon or stainless steel in any storage capacity from 20,000 to 10 million gallons.
All work is performed by ASME-certified welders, supervised by experienced foremen, and all tanks are fully compliant with API-650 specifications.
For many years, Fisher Tank has employed an on-site safety programme that has drawn national recognition.
By reducing on-site accidents, the program has lowered construction costs and kept Fisher tanks price-competitive, a Fisher spokesman pointed out.
