New series of Flender geared motors
This new series combines Flender Motox geared motors with new 1LA7/1LG4/1LG6 Siemens IEC motors, including energy-saving and explosion-proof versions for critical processing environments
These geared motors are certified for European, American and Asian markets, can be supplied with helical, parallel shaft and bevel helical gears in power ranges up to 200 kW: they have a rated gear torque of up to 20,000 Nm Models with helical worm gears have outputs of up to 11kW at 1,590 Nm and motors with worm gears have an output of up to 1.5 kW at 166 Nm

Optional drive groups enable mounting of standard IEC, NEMA and servomotors.
Moreover, the gears are available with a free drive shaft or as a piggyback version.
In order to enable direct mounting of the motor on the gearbox, the interface on the drive side has been adapted.
However, the electrical data remains identical.
Using the Modulog principle (modular and logically optimised motor structure), functional units such as the brake, external fan and encoder are built onto a skeleton motor which always remains the same.
The motor can therefore be fitted with additional functional units, even after installation.
The standard motors conform to IEC/EN standards, with energy-saving variants supplied with EU certification in accordance with CEMEP (European Committee of Manufacturers of Electrical Machines and Power Electronics).
For operation in areas where there may be an explosion risk, geared motors are available for zones 1 and 2 (gas) as well as 21 and 22 (dust) in accordance with EU directive 94/9/EG.
Selection of these geared motors is made easier by using the electronic catalogue, which contains all motor data as well as CAD drawings.
