Stainless steel S-beams for harsh
environments
Flintec are introducing their fully welded, stainless steel, UB Series of universal tension/compression S-beam load cells for weighing in harsh environments
The UB1 is available in the capacity range 1000 kg -5000 kg (10 -50 kN) while the UB6 covers the range from 100 kg-500 kg (1-5 kN) These versatile products, which are fully sealed to IP68, are particularly suited to harsh environments and can be used in a wide range of applications including hopper scales, over-head track scales, crane scales, hybrid scales, belt scales, tensile testing machines, bag fillers and packaging equipment

The UB family is available in both weights and measures approved (C3 3000 division) and non-approved versions.
The UB6 is also available in a high precision, multi-range approved version.
This allows the load cell to be used with a minimum approved scale interval of 1 part in 20000 of rated load cell capacity.
For use in hazardous areas, the UB has full ATEX approval for both gases and dusts and the high 1100 ohm bridge impedance gives added performance advantages for applications where safety barriers are used.
All UB models feature the Flintec mV/V/ohm calibration which eliminates time consuming corner calibration in multiple load cell systems and facilitates load cell replacement.
The unique glass to metal cable entry design ensures optimum sealing and allows cables to be easily replaced should they become damaged or cut.
A full range of complementary mounting hardware completes the impressive array of features offered by the UB Series.
