With no rotating parts, and tolerance to liquids carrying particulates, the MT3809 has proved well suited to this application, after many years of successful service.
The mechanical meter display on the Flotech VA flowmeter provides a simple local indication of the flow rate, allowing the operator to adjust this according to requirements, with no electrical connections needed to multiple units in a control panel.
Use of a flowmeter monitoring system rather than a metering injection pump allows pressure for multiple injection points to be provided by just one pump.
Even when providing duty and standby pumps in one system, the approach has improved system reliability and economy.
For the highest pressure applications, at up to 1000 Atmospheres pressure (15000 psi) or for corrosive applications, the meter bodies are constructed from Inconel or Titanium, instead of stainless steel.
Meters are available for various flow ranges from 20mL/hr to 3000 L/hr, using meter bodies from 0.5" to 2" bore.
