Magnom cleans up furnace fuel for
Towngas
Towngas, a Hong Kong utility company, had problems with contamination in the naphtha fuel used in a large furnace: fine rust particles passed through existing filters - until Magnom was installed
Towngas, a Hong Kong based utility company was having problems with contamination in the naphtha fuel (a hydrocarbon) used to fuel a large furnace The system included some resin type filters, but these were allowing fine rust to pass through
A Magnom Process Unit was installed downstream of the filters and inspected after 6 weeks.
At that point only the first 2 Magnom cores were full of rust (about half a pound of very fine particulate), allowing a forecast service interval of 6 months of the unit at the least before cleaning was required.
The Magnom was found to improve the reliability of the system dramatically: the site engineers were so pleased with this result that they have ordered 3 more for similar applications.
