Magnom saves costs for broaching
The North American Magnom distributor, Universal Separators, helped a powertrain manufacturer in Rockford, Illinois, to install a 5" HT Magnom in the coolant line in a broaching operation
The North American Magnom distributor, Universal Separators, helped a powertrain manufacturer in Rockford, Illinois, to install a 5" HT Magnom in the coolant line in a broaching operation The broaching tools were generally covered with contamination prior to the Magnom installation
Once installed the Magnom captured this harmful debris.
The small metal fines produced by the machining processes collect in the machine coolant.
As the coolant absorbs the contaminants, these fines begin to act as a lapping compound, abrading the machine tool.
This leads to shorter tool life, more frequent machine shut downs for tool sharpening and a loss of precision machining accuracy.
The Magnom has proven to be an effective and highly cost effective way to remove very small, highly damaging contaminants that cannot be removed by any other method.
