IPA 2008, the World Food Process Exhibition, will welcome nearly 600 French and international companies to exhibit in Paris from November 17-20, to present the latest technologies in food processing

For this year's event, IPA is leaving the floor to the experts and has devised a programme of events based on forward-planning and innovation-essential ingredients to meet and satisfy any food processing industry professional seeking new solutions The Innovation and Research Forum, an exclusive platform for exchanges, will be an occasion to present new technological advances in process engineering

It is a unique opportunity to highlight the food processing industries R+D activities at the European level.

With more than 1,000 audience members in 2006, the Forum has always set attendance records and establishes itself each year as a must-see event at the show.

Through talks given by renowned partners, professional organizations and major R+D institutes, this latest edition, comprising about 20 conferences, will treat important subjects such as sustainable development, energy, refrigeration, bioprocessing, regulations, or the latest equipment achievements.

Designed to promote technological excellence, the IPA Innovation Competition/SIEL Trophy rewards the most outstanding innovations selected from all the new developments presented at the show.

A jury consisting of industry experts (journalists, representatives of institutions, major users) will award prizes to the winners on the first day of the trade show so visitors can see the award-winning products during the exhibition.

Food safety is a subject that concerns everyone in the industry, and as such it will have its own dedicated area.

Located in Hall 1 at the center of the IPA 'Matic' zone, the Food Safety-Traceability Area will bring together companies offering identification solutions, management/production information systems (MIS/PIS), and specialised software.

The set-up of this dedicated space will also be an opportunity to organize meetings and debates during conferences, and to examine a subject that is regularly a hot topic.

Organized in conjunction with leading French gastronomy schools, the Culinary Demonstration Area will allow exhibitors and visitors to taste the excellence of French culinary art for themselves.

Professionalism and creativity will reign at this workshop where each day during the show, young apprentices will prepare regional specialties - a feast for the eyes and taste buds.

For all professionals, whether production managers, purchasing managers, R+D specialists or other decision-makers, IPA is a unique exchange platform for keeping up to date with the latest processes, innovations and research work destined for the food industries.

Above all, IPA is also a complete and multi-sectoral offering divided into two key sections, capable of meeting the investment needs of French and international buyers:.

1) IPA Matic: in Hall 1, this section groups together all exhibitors offering equipment, machines, and solutions dedicated to the fish and meat industries.

2) IPA Multisector: in Hall 2, this section brings together all equipment and machines dedicated to dairy products, liquids and semi-liquids (SIEL), breads and pastries, confectionery, fruit and vegetables, and prepared foods, as well as industry wide products such as tools for food and sanitation testing, laboratories, thermal processing, and personal equipment.

Over four days, visitors will gather in a true "pilot plant" environment, to discover a complete and exhaustive offering ranging from food processing equipment to product wrapping and packaging.
