Foster Wheeler to upgrade Kedrion factory

Kedrion has awarded Foster Wheeler a contract to upgrade and expand a bulk plasma fractionation factory at Godollo, Hungary.

Kedrion is a biopharmaceutical company that develops, manufactures and distributes plasma-derived medicinal products.

As part of the contract, Foster Wheeler will upgrade and expand the capacity of an existing plasma fractionation plant in line with good manufacturing practice (GMP).

This will include the installation of a new production line.

During the upgrading works, the existing line will remain in operation.

The plant is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2011.
