Terry Cooper brings extensive international sales and management experience to this new role and joins Freeman Technology from Brewer Science, a US supplier of specialty materials and equipment to the semiconductor industry, where he headed the company's European operation.
Prior to this, he held senior management positions at Broner Engineering and also at Malvern Instruments where he managed their German subsidiary.
Welcoming Terry to the team, managing director Reg Freeman, said: "We see the establishment of this new position of sales director as a very important step in the further development of Freeman Technology.
We are delighted that Terry has joined us; the expertise and experience that he brings to the company will be invaluable.
One of Terry's main tasks will be to further grow our sales and service operation in support of our international customer base".
This expansion of the Freeman Technology team coincides both with the completion of building work to extend the company's production and customer support facilities, and preparations to launch a new range of fully automated accessories for the FT4 Powder Rheometer.
These new products will be unveiled later this year at the annual conference of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists in Baltimore.
Freeman Technology is a specialist company pioneering the measurement and understanding of powders and their flow properties.
Founded in 1989, the company developed the novel, patented technology that forms the core of its Powder Rheometer system at its design and manufacturing centre near Malvern in Worcestershire, UK.
Systems are now installed in many countries around the world in a variety of organisations - from university research departments to major pharmaceutical company laboratories.
