MTEC Exhibition infrared thermal imaging

As infrared thermal imaging and thermography will be well represented at MTEC, technology leader Flir Systems will focus on the many strengths that differentiate its IR cameras from others

As infrared thermal imaging and thermography will be well represented at the forthcoming MTEC Exhibition, technology leader Flir Systems will focus on the many strengths that differentiate its IR cameras from others on the market The broad choice of longwave cameras available in its ThermaCAM range is unparalleled and is expanding month on month

They extend from highly affordable ThermaCAM E-Series torch-style models for find and fix applications; through to highly sophisticated ThermaCAM P-Series radiometric cameras that provide the professional thermographer with every facility for greater problem solving efficiency.

As well as its portable models, Flir Systems has considerable experience in the design of fixed installations and has at its disposal a range of connectivity options to create the optimum system for the job.

The ThermaCAM range provides real-time 50Hz performance with an unmatched level of thermal sensitivity and stability without the need for external temperature referencing.

This translates into exceptional image quality and an ability to detect subtle temperature differences that lower performance cameras will miss.

It also allows the operator to study moving objects or scan with a moving camera without fear of image distortion or smear.

The top-of-the-range ThermaCAM P65 uses an ultra-sensitive 320 x 240 uncooled detector, the most advanced infrared camera technology in the world.

It has the ability to record digitally, real time data in the camera without requiring a PC.

The camera RAM board can store up to 25 images a second of real-time data and this can be used as a radiometric sequence or a standard AVI file.

This feature is ideal for capturing and analysing thermal events including many mechanical applications.

Basic reporting software is included in the P-Series package.

The ThermaCAM P65 comes with ThermaCAM QuickView allowing basic post-analysis of captured infrared images and the creation of simple reports in a PDF-format.

In addition to taking voice and text comments, the user can also make notes on a PDA running Pocket Word and then beam them into the camera.

The seamless integration of the ThermaCAM Reporter software ensures that field inspection data is transformed quickly and automatically into a maintenance report.

As is to be expected of a high-end camera the ThermaCAM P65 is available with a choice of lenses but uniquely this is also a standard feature with the ThermaCAM troubleshooting E-Series.

The ThermaCAM E65 and E320 cameras both include interchangeable optics and basic reporting software as standard.

Unlike its competitors, Flir Systems manufactures all the critical components for its products itself.

This minimises lead times and facilitates prompt delivery, controls costs and ensures that every component satisfies its stringent quality standards.

MTEC will take place at the NEC on 15th and 16th February 2006, and Flir Systems will be on stand number D77. Request a free brochure from Flir Systems ...
