Predictive maintenance using Infra-red IR cameras

A Flir Systems product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Jan 18, 2007

Predictive maintenance is a core business for Flir Systems and its extensive range of infrared cameras confirms this: a new brochure explains the options available for efficient predictive maintenance

Predictive maintenance remains a core business for Flir Systems and its extensive range of infrared cameras confirms it.

Models now fall into three basic categories starting with the find-it-fix-it InfraCAM that has set a new entry-level benchmark for safe, non-contact thermal inspection.

It is perfect for spot checks and quick fault finding.

For those conducting regular surveys with a greater requirement for post-processing, the Flir Systems E-Series cameras provide a further range of options.

Comprising the ThermaCAM E320, E300 and E45 models, the cameras offer the greater sophistication of features such as colour alarms, moveable spots and interchangeable lenses.

The range also introduces the 320 x 240 pixels detector.

The ultimate detector is housed in the new ThermaCAM P640, the new Flir Systems top of the range camera for the professional thermographer.

It is the only portable radiometric camera available with a 640 x 480 pixels detector providing four times the resolution of its nearest rival.

As more pixels cover the target, the powerful analysis tools in the camera can be used with even greater potency.

To provide potential customers with an overview of this fulsome range of plant maintenance cameras Flir Systems has published a guide to the ThermaCAM E- and P-Series ranges.

It also covers software and accessory options.

Entitled 'Infrared Cameras for Predictive Maintenance', it is available on request from the Flir Systems sales office.
