Thermal reporting has never been easier
Each successive generation of Flir IR cameras have provided the means for a thermographer to get the job done with increasing ease, efficiency and in less time, with simple and quick data exporting
Flir Systems has always created parity between hardware and software developments.
Its latest reporting package naturally ensures the operational gains achieved in its cameras are fully maximised.
Indeed this new product is now part of a bundled package for its InfraCAM, ThermaCAM E-Series, and building-specific BCAM and ThermaCAM B-Series cameras.
QuickReport is a name that perfectly describes this latest software introduction.
In three easy moves the operator can organise and analyse the radiometric images and present the data in professional report form.
This is a product with masses of functionality.
First step is to connect the camera via USB cable to the PC or insert the camera SD card.
A further alternative is to use Windows Explorer to copy or move the jpeg images.
Having transferred images into QuickReport and typed-in their description the operator can adjust level and span as well as zoom and pan - up to 8x dependent on the camera.
Unlimited editable spots, areas and alarms can also be placed and a choice of ten different colour palettes applied.
On the Flir Systems diagnostic cameras for building inspections, the QuickReport has a dew point alarm that displays areas at risk of surface condensation and shows mould growth as a coloured isotherm.
A separate insulation alarm is also provided that visually identifies areas of inadequate insulation.
Next step is to select the most suitable report template.
The choice allows the inclusion of two infrared images or an infrared image and a digital photo.
Images are then dragged and dropped into the template; image description, text and voice comments are transferred automatically into the single or multi-page report.
The completed report can then simply be e-mailed as a jpeg attachment to the customer or other recipient, exported to Excel or to Flir Systems ThermaCAM Reporter 8.1 software for advanced analysis - job done.
