Troubleshoot current process control
loops easily
Application Note explains how a Fluke 120 Series ScopeMeter tests, then troubleshoots, current controlled loops used to control actuators and monitor temperature, pressure, level and flow
A new downloadable Application Note from the Fluke web site explains how to use a rugged, handheld Fluke 120 Series ScopeMeter within the process industry to test, then troubleshoot, current controlled loops used to control actuators and to monitor temperature, pressure, level and flow Fluke 123 and 124 ScopeMeters are truly integrated test tools, combining the three most frequently used service tools: a dual input oscilloscope with 20 MHz or 40 MHz bandwidth, a true-rms multimeter and a 'paperless' recorder in one affordable, easy-to-use instrument

Fluke handheld ATEX-certified process calibrator
Fluke has introduced a new loop calibrator, the first of a new line of test tools developed specifically for use in hazardous environments such as petrochemical plants, oil platforms and refineries
When testing a current controlled loop, they allow the user to not only provide a digital readout of the instantaneous current but also a graphical display using the oscilloscope function.
This graphical view, with the large bandwidth, enables identification of any interference from low or high frequency signals.
The 600V Category III safety-certified ScopeMeters also offer the opportunity to take measurements over a prolonged time period.
In the TrendPlot mode, short-term interrupts can be readily spotted on-screen.
On the 124 model, the cursor and real-time clock further aid analysis of recorded phenomena.
The voltage across a suspect component can be checked using the second channel of the ScopeMeter.
The meter also acts as a basic component tester, measuring resistance, capacitance and providing diode test.
Fluke offers a range of process calibration tools, including the 740 Series Documenting Process Calibrators and the 705/707 and 707EX Loop Calibrators.
