Calibrator offers accuracy and results storage

A Fluke product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Nov 17, 2005

A new Fluke multi-function process calibrator, with measurement and calibration sourcing accuracies up to 0.01%, for all process parameters, calibrates practically all sensors and transmitters

Fluke, the world leader in compact professional tools, has introduced a new multi-function process calibrator, with measurement and calibration sourcing accuracies now up to 0.01%, which can measure and source almost all process parameters and can calibrate practically all sensors and transmitters.

It will also calculate and display transmitter error percentages and store a series of measurement data for later analysis.

The new Fluke 726 Precision Multifunction Process Calibrator is a powerful, yet easy-to-use, rugged handheld tool with two separate channels to measure, source and view process signals simultaneously.

It will measure volts, mA, RTDs, thermocouples, frequency and resistance to test sensors and transmitters.

It will also source/simulate volts, mA, RTDs, thermocouples, frequency and pressure to calibrate transmitters, with automated percentage error calculations for easy interpretation.

The internal memory storage enables capture of up to 8 calibration results in the field, for later analysis.

The Fluke 726 features a HART mode for compatibility when measuring and calibrating HART instrumentation, an integrated pressure switch test enabling the capture of the set, reset and deadband of a switch, and enhanced flowmeter testing and temperature measurement.

The 726 can be set to source mA with simultaneous pressure measurement to conduct valve and I/P tests, and it will also measure and calibrate pressure with the addition of the Fluke 700Pxx Series of pressure modules and a pressure pump.

The Fluke 726 multifunction process calibrator has a 3-year warranty and comes with test leads and clips, and user manual on CD.

It is available from Fluke authorised distributors.
