Laleham Healthcare has seen significant growth in production of tablets, creams, liquids and ointments for the pharmaceutical industries, and has added more Fulton J Series boilers for process heating

Since the opening of its purpose built GBP6million facility in Alton in December 2000, contract manufacturing specialist Laleham Healthcare has seen significant growth in the production of tablets, creams, liquids and ointments for the toiletries, cosmetics, healthcare and pharmaceutical industries Initial investment at the 65,000 sq ft facility, which now has both manufacturing and packaging lines, included the installation of two gas-fired Fulton J Series boilers plus ancillary equipment to raise steam for hot water and jacketed heating vessels

Since then, a third J Series boiler has been installed in 2002 to meet increasing demand, followed by a fourth early in 2004.

Commenting on the increasing number of boilers, Laleham operations director Ron Young says: "We chose Fulton for the new facility based on our experience of their boilers in our other sites.

They have always given excellent service and been very reliable, and we are delighted with the backup received from their service team".

The company now operates eighteen manufacturing vessels ranging from 250 litres to six tonnes and has five Fulton J Series boilers installed at two sites - four gas-fired and one oil-fired.

All are used to raise steam to heat batches of liquid for the manufacture of creams, liquids and shampoos for some of the world's leading blue chip cosmetics companies.

Commenting for Fulton, sales and marketing director Gordon Bareham says: "We are pleased to have had the opportunity to work with Laleham and contribute to their substantial growth over the past few years.".
