Fulton to showcase boiler products at Foodex

A Fulton Boiler Works product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Feb 4, 2010

As well as promoting its J Series vertical and Europack electric steam boilers, Fulton will be using the Foodex show to showcase its Modsync boiler sequencing and TDS energy-recovery systems.

Modsync is Fulton's sequencing system for multiple steam and hot-water boiler installations.

It is designed to maximise the efficiency of multiple boiler installations by providing precise pressure control of the steam system using a pressure transducer installed in the steam header.

It is also capable of precise temperature control and lead/lag sequencing on hot-water boiler systems.

Fulton's TDS energy-recovery system recovers heat energy from the blowdown and returns it to the steam system by cooling otherwise wasted water.

This helps to increase boiler efficiency and reduces the demand on other boiler plant ancillaries, in turn reducing fuel, water and effluent bills.

The system also boosts the boiler-feed water temperature to 212F (100C), which reduces the risk of thermal shock on the pressure vessel and prolongs the life of the boiler.

The company's J Series range of steam boilers is manufactured to BS 2790 1992 Class 1 and meets all relevant British and European standards.

Available in gas-, oil- or dual-fuel-fired formats, the range includes eight models, covering outputs from 96 to 960kg/h.

Their tubeless design eliminates the coils and tubes traditionally used in steam raising plants, enabling the boiler to raise its full steam output in 20min.

The simple design and robust construction from quality materials make them suitable for arduous applications in a range of applications in the food and beverage industry.

The efficient Europack electric steam boiler is designed to meet the requirements of the medium-demand steam user.

The boiler can be supplied with all ancillary equipment as separate items or supplied as a fully factory-built, skid-mounted package.

The J Series and Europack steam boilers come with a five-year warranty on the pressure vessel and are supported by Fulton's pre- and after-sales service division.
