Build your own liquid level sensor
New "pick 'n' mix" approach to liquid level sensors: Gentech has launched a new facility, enabling customers worldwide to design and "build" top entry liquid level sensors to their own specifications
VCS70/71 sensors, with a brass stem, Buna N float and SG of 0.5 are suitable for petroleum and oil at temperatures of 110C.
Stainless steel VCS90/91 sensors, with an SG of 0.7, are ideal for water and food applications up to 130C.
Measuring less than 60mm (2.5 inches) in length, with 28mm stainless steel (VCS 90/91) and Buna N (VCS 70/71) floats, the new products provide for high or low level sensing, with normally open or normally closed operation, via float reversal.
All are designed for internal fitting with a taper thread and feature UL listed magnetic reed switches.
Operating temperature range is -30C up to +130C with an initial contact resistance of 0.25 ohms, maximum contact ratings of 100Vdc, 250Vac, 1 amp, 50 watts and proven reed switch reliability up to 15 watts.
