21 January 2010 - GE Oil and Gas has acquired a minority equity interest in Shenyang Turbo Machinery, a Chinese state-owned enterprise that designs and manufactures turbomachinery equipment.

23 December 2009 - GE Oil and Gas and Al Shaheen Energy Services have signed strategic partnership agreements.

The agreements will see Al Shaheen make a 50 per cent investment in GE's PII Pipeline Solutions business; and GE Oil and Gas and Al Shaheen establish JV to perform aftermarket services of turbomachinery equipment in Qatar.

24 November 2009 - 23 engineers and technicians have graduated from the second Middle East intake of the GE Oil and Gas University Program.

Experts from GE and professional associates covered various aspects of the energy industry during the course, which was designed for employees of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company and its group of companies.
