Gefran introduces the AVRy inverter for lifts

A Gefran product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Dec 12, 2008

Gefran's AVRy inverter features built-in 'clean power' energy recovery technology for lift drive applications, which reduces operating costs.

The AVry works for synchronous and asynchronous, geared or gearless motors up to 15kW.

The AVry drive features unity power factor operation with harmonic distortion of less than four per cent, meeting requirements for low harmonic regulations.

The inverter is available in three power ranges with rated inputs of 12, 22 and 29 kVA and with input voltages from 3 x 400 VAC to 3 x 480 VA.

They can also be supplied for single-phase 230 VAC on request.

The AVRy includes a user friendly keypad and menu driven set-up including 'real unit' lift parameters.

The AVRy contains dedicated elevator features such as lift sequence, lift mechanical parameterisation, ramp generation and landing control.

It also includes space vector modulation for quiet operation.

It is suited to geared and gearless lift applications up to 5m/sec.

The drive enclosure has screw terminal strip connections for easy installation.

Optional fieldbus connection is made possible with expansion cards for Interbus-S, Profibus-DP, Genius, Canopen or Devicenet.
