This Merlin range of CRT monitors, now available in 10, 14, 15 and 17 inch sizes, surpassed all that had gone before with its guaranteed quality and reliability.
GDS customisation service has also ensured that the Merlin can be modified or tailored to the specific customer requirements, allowing continuity of supply since the product was first introduced, and future-proofing the customer investment.
Subsequently, GDS was also first to market in the 1990s with the high brightness display.
After years invested into research and development, GDS launched the Mitra and Morpheus ranges of high brightness LCDs, positioning GDS as the leader in the design, manufacture and supply of high brightness and sunlight readable display systems.
The high brightness Mitra and industrial Morpheus displays incorporate a specially designed thermal management system, enabling them to be entirely visible in any light, without damage to the LCD panels.
A built-in auto-dimming facility also allows the displays to be dimmed beyond a 500:1 ratio, allowing perfect viewing no matter what the conditions.
GDS is continuing to develop its range of high brightness displays, suitable for use in applications where sunlight and high ambient lighting can be a problem such as ATMs, kiosks, boats, passenger information displays (PIDs) and medical industry monitors.
GDS has over 25 years experience of providing the most innovative display solutions that continue to be "first to market".
GDS is currently launching new glass bonded TFTs which will further increase the functionality of its displays, securing their position as leader in the industry.
