Exair ETC cools electrical enclosures

A Good Hand UK product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team May 19, 2009

Good Hand UK has released the Exair digital ETC (Electronic Temperature Control) Cabinet Cooler System, which keeps electrical enclosures cool and minimises compressed-air use.

The ETC accurately maintains a constant temperature slightly under the maximum rating of the electronics, without wasting compressed air.

It incorporates solid-state circuitry that detects the slightest change in temperature.

A digital-readout LED displays the temperature of the electrical enclosure, then displays the user setting when the push-to-set button is pressed.

When the setting is exceeded, the cabinet cooler circulates -6C air through the electrical enclosure to prevent a high-temperature malfunction.

ETC models for 120V AC or 240V AC are available.

The control has a strong polycarbonate plastic housing with sealed membrane push-button control that is suitable for use in NEMA 4, 4X and 12 environments.

The cabinet cooler can be installed in minutes through a standard electrical knockout.

All systems include a filter/regulator to prevent moisture passing to the inside of the electrical enclosure.

Cooling capacities of up to 2800Btu/hr are available.

Applications include cooling programmable controllers, CNC panels, computer cabinets and variable speed drives.
