Developing a specialism in solids handling

Golconda was formed in 1975, to sell a range of specialised silo level monitoring equipment and system installations

The following years saw steady growth in this sector and diversifying the product range built on this success.

Golconda can now offer control and monitoring equipment and services for most process control requirements.

1985 saw the addition of the Electrical Process Control department.

This department offers services, ranging from the supply of a single motor control panel, to the handling of turnkey projects.

In 1990 Golconda moved to larger purpose built offices, situated close to junction 26 of the M1 motorway.

During the intervening years, electrical process engineers with a diverse range of expertise were employed making it possible for Golconda to become a leader in PC/PLC based SCADA control systems.

Recognition of this was fulfilled when Golconda was appointed as a Rockwell Automation Systems Integrator, able to work with and gain valuable experience from the recognised world leader in automation control.

In 1991 a new division of the company was formed and named Golconda Process Weighing, to handle the mechanical aspects of Materials Handling, Continuous Weighing, Loss-in-Weight, Batch Weighing to name but a few.

G.P.W engineers are experienced in the design and manufacture of all specialised equipment required within these industries, adding an extremely successful dimension to the company.

G.P.W acquired the UK agency for the highly successful Moduflex loading bellows range in 1994, from the Cimbria organisation, in Denmark.

Demanding EC dust emission regulations require the introduction of such a unit for clean loading of open lorries, tanker lorries, rail tankers, stock-piling, and ship loading.

The units are manufactured to the highest quality, can handle the most demanding materials, and are providing trouble free loading for companies throughout the world.

In recent years Golconda has continued to increase the range of products and services it can offer, becoming the UK agents for Bindicator (level probes), Concetti (bagging and palletising systems) and in 2004, Technowrapp (automated wrapping systems).
