ARK is one of the leading specialists in the world in gravity and magnetic methods.
Recording microgravity changes in a reservoir to monitor geophysical sensitivity, ARK Geophysics required a straight-forward and reliable method of recording, logging and analysing data.
Ideally, the data needed to be transmitted to a centrally located computer and display actual measurements and moving averages.
ARK Geophysics chose the Grant Instruments Squirrel SQ400 data logger as it did exactly what they wanted it to do.
Robust and reliable, the SQ400 was able to sample and average to a high resolution to give them all the information they needed.
An extra advantage was the ability to transmit data via modem enabling them to monitor results on a daily basis from their UK office, which provided a considerable cost saving.
Another major factor in their decision to purchase the Squirrel SQ400 was the service support and back-up provided by the technical staff at Grant Instruments.
The Squirrel SQ400 is a universal data logger that will reliably and accurately measure inputs from thermistor, thermocouple (types K and T) dc voltage and current channels.
A wide variety of measurements can be undertaken in manufacturing and process industries, research, science and environmental monitoring.
The SQ400 is portable and battery powered, can download via a modem or connected by an ethernet network port for use as a PC based data acquisition system.
The ability to log up to 2 million readings in meaningful units whilst showing the time and date for each reading ensures the Squirrel SQ400 provides engineers with exactly what they need.
