Established in 1996, Grendonstar is now one of the UK's leading authorities on the problems associated with drug and alcohol misuse in the workplace.

Providing a total solution partnership to many of the UK's leading employers, Grendonstar has a tried and tested approach to the avoidance of drug and alcohol at work, based on a positive philosophy that both motivates staff and provides invaluable assistance to management.

Successfully combining staff welfare and employee welfare issues with the need to meet current health and safety legislation, this innovative and highly effective strategy is designed to improve safety, maximise staff retention and minimise lost productivity.

Originally established to provide drug and alcohol testing systems to employers, Grendonstar also recognised the need for organisations to offer a comprehensive, fair and workable drug and alcohol misuse policy.

As a result of its close working relationship with those client companies, and the level of its understanding of the problems that were faced by both employers and employees, Grendonstar developed a confidential consultancy service that would offer a total solution.

Today, the company employs 10 people at its head office in Manchester and has a network of over 100 experts, consultants and support staff throughout the UK.

This network combines specialist consultancy services with awareness training, confidential testing, counselling and, of course, expert advice on all the legal and employee welfare issues.

Knowing that employers and employees can both benefit from a welfare based workplace substance abuse policy, Grendonstar is now recognised as a company that not only creates policies that meet the needs of each organisation, but these policies have also been shown to improve staff morale, increase productivity and reduce accidents, lateness and absenteeism.

Grendonstar Distribution is a part of the Key Group of Companies.

Specialising in specific employment issues, the Key Group encompasses recruitment, occupational health, staff welfare, sales support and employee benefit/financial planning services - everything, in fact, that an organisation needs to select, maintain and retain it's most valuable asset, its people.
