Scottish Water orders reservoir mixing system

A Gurney Environmental product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Nov 28, 2008

Scottish Water Solutions, working with Gurney Environmental, have ordered a Resmix 3000 system for installation in a 3,700 Megalitre reservoir north of Glasgow.

The Resmix reservoir mixing system, manufactured by Wears of Australia and distributed in Europe by Gurney Environmental, is a high-performance, low-energy destratification and mixing system.

Using aircraft industry materials and methods of construction, the Resmix system is able to circulate huge volumes of water with very little energy input.

Used for oxidising metals such as manganese in raw water reservoirs, the system's 'top-down' circulation has also proven to be particularly effective in controlling blooms of toxic blue-green algae.

The Resmix system is available in three sizes, suitable for treating raw and potable water reservoirs from 2,000 to 150,000-plus Megalitres.
