The alliance is being managed by Wayne Baxter, a board director at Haden Freeman, and Philip Hallsworth, Managing Director of Quantum Energy, who between them have more than 50 years of expertise in the engineering and energy industries.
Wayne Baxter said: "A lot of our clients have been talking to us about the increasing pressure from both shareholders and government to reduce energy usage and costs, as well as the need to be more accountable for the environmental impact of their operations.
These are issues that are not going away, and this has led us to form this new alliance, which is set to become a key part of our engineering offering.
The two companies have a great synergy and we can offer real added value to our clients, regardless of whether a site is in the planning stages, or completed.
It is a natural progression for HFL and it fits well within our already extensive portfolio of engineering and business support services for the engineering sector.
Philip Hallsworth, Managing Director of Quantum Energy, said: "Keeping abreast of the latest legislation and market changes can be a huge burden for companies, and increasing government legislation and pressure on industry has brought the issue of energy management to the fore.
It is important for companies to overcome the perception that energy efficiency means expense, difficultly and complications.
We can step in and thoroughly audit a the energy requirements of a whole plant, and identify where improvements can be made.
Many processes can be built into existing plans or processes and crucially, an extremely tangible cost, and environmental, saving can be made.
Working with a company such as Haden Freeman gives us a much wider scope of industries to work with and opens up lots of exciting new possibilities".
