This performance is a great improvement on most control valves on the market today.
Accuracy is achieved over the majority of the control range.
For a 380 barg regulator, accuracies of 0.5% are achievable and at 1 bar, accuracies of 10% are maintained under a 380:1 turndown ratio.
Overshoot is avoided in almost all instances where the regulator is asked to increase supply pressure from zero.
Reliability is another key feature, proven in the field and during the product development.
This product is supplied into one application where it sees 240,000 cycles at pressures to 300 barg every year.
Repeatability has been proven to be as good as 0.5% in existing applications.
Compatibility with most gases including oxygen, inert gases, most flammables and many corrosives is available within the standard range.
Hydraulic fluids are also catered for.
Proportional gas filling systems using the RH series proportional regulators are built by Hale Hamilton to our customer specifications and offer features including stable outlet pressure for gas supply systems achieved, regardless of variation in inlet pressure, flow rate or temperature providing the regulator is held under closed loop control.
An option for running in open loop exists where operating conditions are stable enough to allow it.
Programmable control systems permit the pressure to be adjusted accurately and at virtually any speed required.
This feature makes the system ideal for test rig applications, cylinder filling or charging systems.
The control system will also manage all other automatic valves, switches and sensors in the system and can be fully configured to meet our customer needs.
Compliance with PED and ATEX are requirements for most systems supplied by Hale Hamilton.
Approvals include ISO9001, TUV, CTE/BAM (adiabatic compression), ATEX, and PED.
