The shockproof disk drive housing and rubber cushions protect the three front-accessible 5.25inch and two 3.5inch drive bays against harsh industrial environments.
The lockable front door secures the unit against unauthorised access.
Nylon air filters are much more durable and easy to care for than traditional sponge materials.
The most outstanding mechanical innovation are newly-added screw holes located between the card-guiding rails; they are designed to fix a full-sized CPU card firmly onto the chassis, strengthening the overall system design.
Finally, out of consideration for customers who would like to place corporate logos onto the chassis, the new logo panel of the IPC-630 is interchangeable, and one blank customisable logo panel is included in the package.
