Harting has introduced an USB port that allows portable computer devices such as laptop PCs, printers and webcams to be linked to industrial networks and control systems in harsh environments The new Han-Brid USB interface is mounted externally to the control cabinet wall and utilises the industry-proven Han 3A housing, which ensures sealing to IP65 and offers good mechanical protection for harsh industrial areas
The ability to mount the Han-Brid USB directly to a control cabinet allows the user to connect peripheral devices without the need to open the cabinet door.
By using a standard housing cover, an IP65 rating can be maintained when a device is not connected.
The new USB interface, which is designed for panel feed-through applications, is part of the Harting industry proven Han-Brid connector range.
