The new generation Han DD industrial connector inserts meet the requirements of the IEC 61984/DIN EN 61984 standard, with the new obligatory creepage and clearance distances

The new generation Han DD industrial connector inserts from Harting have been specifically designed to meet the new requirements of the IEC 61984/DIN EN 61984 standard, which makes new creepage and clearance distances, obligatory since October 2004 The new inserts meet the new requirements while offering a working current of 10 A at a working voltage of 250 V, plus an impulse rated voltage of 4 kV at pollution degree 3

They also meet the V0 flammability requirement of UL 94 through the use of polycarbonate material.

Other key parameters include a maximum rated voltage (according to UL/CSA requirements) of 600 V, insulation resistance of 0.1 MMohm minimum, an operating temperature range of -40C to +125C, and a mechanical working life of more than 500 cycles.

The new generation of Han DD inserts is 100% mateable with earlier versions, so users will have no compatibility problems in using them alongside existing products.
